Another fantastic wine from the wonderful Judith Beck. 100% Blaufrankisch. This wine is dark cherry red with violet rim, blackberry flavours, and a spicy, fruity finish. Soft, velvety tannins and balanced acidity make for a very quaffable and easy drinking red. Excellent alone but also fantastic with terrines, meat stews and roasted meats.

Excellent natural credentials as usual from Beck: Manually harvested and fermented from indigenous yeasts with no sulphur added at fermentation and minimal at bottling. The vines are organically certified and farmed with biodynamic methods.

Judith explains her interest in the Blaufränkisch grape, “Blaufränkisch for me is a grape with an incredibly wide range of taste. It can be a dark, full-bodied, earthy red wine or it can have the fragility and elegance of a Pinot Noir. For me it is fun to explore that range.”
