An intensely ruby-red colour. A rich nose of red cherries, plums and subtle peppery notes. Medium-bodied in texture with flavours of red berries, cassis and a hint of mint. Refreshing acidity and a long finish make this an excellent food wine.
In the Middle Ages the town of Lansargues was home to the Moulines Saint André Abbey and grounds. The abbey was destroyed in the 15th century and the grounds were turned into a farm. In 1913 the estate was purchased for Charles Saumade, a winemaker. Over the years the estate has been expanded, modernised and replanted and now is run by Charles’ Saumades grandchildren.
